The summer is “just around the corner “, with long sunny days, strong sun and the very importen sunprotection ๐ŸŒž

The sun is lovely, warm and an importen source to energy, and vitamins….and its also defrosting my skeleton ๐Ÿ˜‰after a bit cold winter.

But the sun can also do damage for the skin, be an factor for skin-cancer, sun-burn….and also give this nice wrinkles that comes with the age, an deeper effect for the skin.

I like to spend time in the sun๐Ÿ‘™๐Ÿ‘’๐ŸŒž,- but I m careful with the sun, more now then when I was younger๐Ÿ˜”,- and I m using sun-factor in the sun,- normally factor 30.

Sun-factor is important for your skin ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐ŸŒž (this is me playing with “sun-colours ” at my photos) ๐Ÿ˜Š

I have been afflicted with sun- eczema for some years, – specifically in the beginning of the summer, and I didn’t needed to be in the sun for a long time before I did get the eczema. I did try different sun- creams, different sun- factors,- but still got the eczema,- special over my chest. Until I did started with betacarotena a couple of months before the Summerseson.

Its different statements about the use of betacarotena,- like it is with many other things. Betacarotena does not effect the pores in the skin, but has an effect on the skin-fat in the skin and the skin-cells, and it also convert vitamin A. Vitamin A is, among other things, is good for the sight. And, yes, you get an other color in the skin when you use betacarotena,- a golden orange-dark yellow color. Its looks like the colour is brown,- but its not. This color is on your outside and inside of your body. (In my body too, when I use betacarotena ๐Ÿ˜…).

Insted of eating betacarotena- pills some months before the summer I can be better of eating carrots, sweet potato, broccoli, spinat and papaya on daily basis and regular during the whole year ๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿฅ”๐ŸŠ. I do eat this fruits and vegetables,- but are not very conscious when I do it,- and I can absolutely be better๐Ÿ˜Š.

And when I was pregnant with Fabian I did have a “kick” for carrots and oranges ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿฅ•,- and when he was born he had a nice golden color in his skin. The doctors did think he had jaundice,- and also did checked him for this,- but he didnt have it. It was all my cattor-eating during the pregnancy ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜…

To be a bit more conscious for eating this kind of fruit and vegetables it will actually give me a more naturally protecting, and this fruits and vegetables has also a high level of antioxidants,- so I will get both,- protection for sun- eczema and a lots of antioxidants ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sun-care: factor 30 for my face and body, sunhat for my face and hair, sunglasses for my eyes….and factor 15 or 30 as an bodylotion during the summer,- when I m not spending time in the sun,- but still will be around in the sun๐ŸŒž….and a box betacarotena….for my sun-eczema.

Like I did mention,- I normally use factor 30 in the sun. But there are days when I m actually not out in the sun, but still will be affected by the sun,- and then I can use factor 15 as an bodylotion and also protecting for my skin๐Ÿ˜Š

Coconut oil ๐ŸŒฐ

Did you know that clean coconut oil is sun- factor 30?

I have tried and test it out,- but just in my home when I was in the sun on my balcony, and also at the pool. And it seems that it can be correct. (but I can be wrong). At least my skin did “behaved ” at the same way as when I m using sun-cream with factor 30.

I haven’t try coconut oil at the beach yet, and I m proberly not going to do it rather. Because its oil,- and for me,- oil and beach is something I m very careful with. Its a lots of reflection from the ocean,- much more then from the water in the pool. And this reflection and oil is not always a very good combination for my skin. I dont take the chance to mix this two parts togheter,- I use coconut oil at my home,- and as an protection bodylotion with factor 30. Coconut oil makes my skin soft and “smooth” ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒฐ.

Alovera as aftersun

Its also important to give your skin moisture after spending time in the sun. A good treatment after hours in the warm and nice sun. The sun dry out your skin, and dry skin-well,- it can give a bit new, fine lines in for example the face ๐Ÿ˜Š

I normally I let my skin rest a bit after spending time in the sun, and before I take a shower. The pores in the skin are more open after spending time in the sun. The skin has had a bit warm, nice, but also a bit “heavy” treatment during hours in the sun. So I let it “cool” a bit down in the shadow before I “jump” into the shower ๐Ÿšฟ.

After a nice shower I normally use alovera gel as an aftersun. Its a lots of moisture in alovera, something my skin need after some hours in the sun.

Its a lots of others good aftersuns to use as well,- but I prefer to use alovera gel,- its feels like my skin is “smiling” after getting alovera on, and its also “cool” down the skin.

Alovera is also good treatment if I have been unlucky and got sun-burn. I have actually also used natural yoghurt at my skin if I have been sun-burn. Then I take the yoghurt at the parts that are sun-burn, let it dry, and then wash it carefully of with water. The water has then a temperature as close as possible the body temperature. Just a tips if you dont have any alovera to use after sun-burn ๐Ÿ˜Š

Enjoy the summer and the sun,- but be carfeul and take good care of your skin both in the sun and after spending time in the sun ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒž
