Official waffle day today 🥞😊

Hi ❣ It’s so nice to see you,- like always 😊 I hope all is fine with you 🧡

I didn’t know that today 25. March was and is the official waffle day in many countries in Europe. But since I don’t read to much news in my breaks at work anymore I read about other things,- like for example that today it’s the official waffle day 🥞 😊. So then I made some waffles this afternoon, because it’s taste good and also as a nice surprise to my daughter after a long week with night shift in her work 😴…..and it’s obviously the official waffle day and then why not make some waffles?😊

Today’s waffles on the official waffle day in many countries in Europe 🥞😊

I have heard about the waffle day before, but I didn’t knew it was a real, official day,- if you understand what I mean? So I wanted to find out why there’s a official waffle day. And it was different reasons for that actually.

One of the reasons was that on this day, the 25. March The Virgin Maria got the message from the angel Gabriel that she was pregnant, and if we count from today and nine months forward it’s actually nine months to the Christmas- day today 🎄.

The next reason I did find out for was that obviously the hens started to produce eggs again this day after a long, cold and dark winter. So it was a kind of sign that the Spring was started 🐣. Things was started to grow again after the wintertime ❄.

So then they choose to have a “official” Spring day because of this, a day that split the Winter from the Spring, and then the official first day of the Spring became 25. March.

In a couple of days we also are going to “turn the time” to Summertime many places in Europe, so it maybe seems a bit logical to have 25. March as a official first day of Spring 🌱?

Spring time is also time for this sweet “spring fever” 💞, where some hearts find each other and fall a bit in love,- so then it may be appropriate to celebrate the first day of spring with small, tasty waffle hearts 🧡.

I didn’t knew this things about the official waffle day,- so I did learn a bit new knowledge today 😊. And we had some very tasty, homemade waffles this afternoon and a kind of celebrated the Spring when it stills feels a bit like Autumn outside the door here in South of Spain at the moment ☔💧🌱.

I wish you a great day or evening wherever in the world you are 🧡 Thank you so much for using your time and dropping by my blog today 🧡

See you soon 😊

My waffles hearts with butter, honey and cinnamon 😊

Obviously today it’s the official waffle day 🥞. I didn’t knew that the waffles had a kind of their own official day,- but they have 🧡. So this afternoon it became homemade and tasty waffles on the table in our home 🥞😊.

July is over 🏝 and August is already started 🏖

Hi ❣ It’s so nice to see you,- like always 😊 I hope all is fine with you 🧡

We have already started on August, and July is already history. The days, weeks and months goes very fast, I think. So I in my own way, like to have this “summary” where I take a tiny look at the month that’s finish just to see that I actually have done a bit of different things during the month even when it feels like the time fly so fast that I sometimes feel I didn’t manage to do “anything” during the last month. But I did,- also in July 🌞.

I also like to be grateful for the different things and experiences the month has brought into my life in one or another way 🧡. As well as try to look forward to some new and unknown for the upcoming month, – like August will bring this time 🌞.

It’s in general always something to be grateful for, and in general it’s also something to look forward too,- even when we don’t know what it is always 🧡.

The ocean- photo taken from one of my walks in July 😊

I have had some really nice walks in the area, both in some mornings as well as evenings. It’s nice to “get to know” the area I’m living in, and a nice walk close to the beach isn’t to bad to do at all 😊.

I have been creative in July too, – both finish and delivered 25 painted glassbottles to Natasja and their cafe Case Barella in La Cala Mijas, as well as finish a knitted baby blanket, and also created me a creative corner outside on the roof terrace 🎨. I really like to spend time in “my outside corner”,- it’s a kind of luxury to be able to and have the possibility to paint outside under the sun 🌞🎨. And one of the glassbottles I painted to Natasja was obviously so nice that it actually was stolen 😋.

I have visited a good friend of my and her newborn baby girl at the hospital, and hopefully I will manage to visit them again in their home next weekend 🥰.

I have really tested out my kitchen with different kinds of food and baking. And the mini oven in my kitchen manage to bake both tasty dinners and cakes 🥮.

I have had nice guests too, both in the afternoons, evenings and even some “holiday guests” for some nights too. So the guest room is now tested out as well 😊. And I have “created” my own “private backyard cafe”, a nice place to spend time together with my family and friends 🧡.

And the coronavirus and Covid19 did “dropped” by my family too this month, and my poor little daughter ( ….well, little- she is 20, 5 years old now) was sick for closely 3 weeks 😔. And I couldn’t visit her because of the coronavirus. And,- just in case,- “my” date also got the coronavirus and became sick too with Covid19. Well,- “my date” was maybe to take a little good in, but he had invited me on a date that had to be canceled due to illness and risk of infection. But maybe he will be my date one day? I don’t know at the moment 😊.

In the end of July was also the end of my job as a costumer service agent on the phone for one company. But already on Monday 2. August I did started in a new company as an customer service agent on the phone 😊.

So changes and challenges during July, yes. New experiences and knowledge, yes to that too 😊.

And I have a lots to be grateful for during July 🧡,- great friends, and my sweet daughter is getting much, much better, my lovely sons doing well in their life. I’m enjoying my life in the new home, and the possibility for a nice walk on the beach when I want 🏖.

I’m looking forward to August 🌞. I know it will be some very warm summer days and nights, but that’s fine 🏖. I’m already started in a new job, and I’m actually slowly started to create my self a kind of “what do I want to do with my life- my “just me” life “- plan, and is it possible to manage what I want, and in case, how to do it?

I have not to many ideas about what August will bring me, but I know it will be changes, maybe just some small ones, but a new job is a change in it’s own way 😊. I know there will be some challenges, but hopefully not to big, and to many 🤞🙏. I know there will be some new experiences and knowledge too 😊.

So,- Thank you July for what you gave me in my life, for new knowledge, nice walks and new experiences 🧡. And Welcome August with a new job, and with some new, small “adventures” in my life that I at the moment have on idea what is or are 🧡.

I wish you a great day or evening wherever in the world you are 🧡. Thank you so much for using your time and dropping by my blog today 🧡

See you soon 😊

I’m so lucky and so grateful for this opportunity to live so close to the beach,- a beautiful and various beach with sand, as well as with lovely stones close by 🥰

I like to take a tiny look at every month that has “passed by” and just “stop up” a bit, and think through the moments, and the months different experiences I have had during the last month, as well as be grateful for the different moments 🧡. And it’s also nice to just “feel a bit” on the unknown that’s infront of me in a new month 🧡🙏🧡.

I choose to wait a bit to greet the Irish leprechaun 🧚‍♂️😊

Hi ❣ It’s so nice to see you,- like always 😊 I hope all is fine with you 🧡

Most countries have folk tales and legends, and also their own trolls, elves and various mysterious creatures of various kinds. Also Ireland 🧚‍♂️.

In Ireland they have this tiny little man, he is actually not more then around 75 cm high and looks like a man at the same time a bit like troll. He is called a leprechaun, and I have actually been writing some small articles about him now and then when a client has requested it. So in many ways I have “encountered” a leprechaun and two in my own texts and through research.

A leprechaun is neither evil nor good, but a little prankster who can just as easily trick you a little as to help you.

He comes from a mysterious land, perhaps a land under the sea, and often his job is a shoemaker.  It is said that he is quite rich, and has a pot full of gold coins at the end of the rainbow.  But it is not so easy to meet a leprechaun, because he likes it best at dawn or at dusk.  A leprechaun is nice, welcoming and hospitable, it is said.  And if you are lucky enough to meet him then he is required to tell you where the gold is, and maybe he will give you a wallet of money that never runs out.

I do like this little mystery man, at least what I do know about him during textes and research. And in my mind I think that the people in Ireland are maybe a bit like an leprechaun? Nice, welcoming and hospitable, and also a good helper with a touch of humor? At kesdt the people I actually have met from Ireland are like this 😊.

Last week I got a job offer from Ireland/ Cork, with the possibility for maybe meeting a leprechaun- if I choose to take the job and move to Ireland. Not because the job is about leprechaun, but because the job is in Ireland 😅. And the salary was quite okay too, for me it’s seems like a tiny little pot of gold coins. Well,- not quite, but a salary a bit better and more then I have at the moment, that’s for sure.

The job offer sounds, to be honest, incredibly interesting. It’s about healthcare and medicine, but I need to move to Ireland. And I’m not sure how ready I’m for moving to another country during an pandemi.

It’s feels actually challenges enough to live in Spain during an pandemi, so how will it be to move to another country where I don’t know anyone, and also need to work in a home office because of the pandemi? And where there’s even higher red corona- numbers then here in Spain?

I don’t think my daughter is quite ready to let me move to fare away from her yet either. But little by little and step by step she will soon live on her own again, and the situation will be different.

And I have also something else I feel I need to find out a tiny bit about before I maybe choose to leave Spain one day,- and that is actually something with a man. It’s difficult to explain, because I’m not quite sure what I feel, think or believe anymore when it comes to relationship, and this boyfriend/ girlfriend- thing. I’m actually not sure if I want to be in, or have any relationship again. Or even believe in relationship anymore. I’m not sure if it’s worth it,- but still I’m a bit curious about this man for reasons I can’t explain at the moment.

Not the best reason for not take this job offe in Ireland, but yes, I need to admit I actually want to try to find out why I have this man on my mind now and then. (…okay, maybe he is a bit more on my mind then now and then 😊).

TBut still the main reason why I didn’t took this job offer in Ireland this time is the pandemi and all the different challenges and restrictions that are following the pandemi and are around this situation, and also my children, my daughter. I can’t move away from her yet.

At the same time I need to admit that if things had been different, if there hasn’t been any pandemi and I knew my daughter was ready, I have probably said yes to this job offer and moved to Ireland. I don’t think the choice has been very difficult. Because the job sounds very interesting, and the salary was not to bad either, and a fare as I know, Ireland, under normal circumstances, can be very interesting to live in and explore 😊.

Free shiping over 69$

I should really wish I could do the job from Spain,- but unfortunately I can’t. And that’s the way it is at the moment. That’s a part of the life, that’s life.

Anyway,- I’m very happy and grateful for get this job offer, even I didn’t say yes,- and maybe one day in the future, when the pandemi is over and things are a bit more “calm down”,- who knows,- maybe I move to Ireland and meet the leprechaun? And also maybe do some exacting and interesting work as well😊 ? With a pot of gold coins as my salary? I don’t know, but it is nothing wrong to have some dreams 😊.

I wish you a great day or evening wherever in the world you are 🧡. Thank you so much for using your time and dropping by my blog today 🧡

I didn’t have any “real” leprechaun in my home,- this are the closest ones I will come a leprechaun for awhile and his tiny pot of gold coins in the end of the rainbow at the moment 🧚‍♂️😊

It’s not the easiest time for some moving to a new and other country now at days, not even when a interesting job offer drops up during an pandemi 📝,- and maybe even the possibility for meeting a nice and polite leprechaun 🧚‍♂️. So I choose to wait a bit, and continue my life in Spain for a while 😊.

Will the Three Holy Kings come with carbon or gold this year? 🤴👳‍♂️👲

Hi ❣ It’s so nice to see you,- like always 😊 I hope all is fine with you 🧡

This evening is actually the parade for the Three Holy King in Spain 👑. But it would not be like the many years parade tradition this year. There will not be very much of a parade at all. And it will be very different from what the traditional parade was like. But still there will be some cultural traditions people can do this evening. The evening and night when the three Holy Kings are coming with gifts to the children 🎁.

This tradition with the parade started in 1885 in Spain, and have become more and more popular. In the beginning it was the three wise men,- Kaspar, Melchior and Baltasar, the Virgin Mary, Joseph, the Jesus Child, the animals, and the shepherd in the parade. It was to symbolize the long journey the three wise men had been riding on their camels to give gifts to Jesus Child in the hall there in Bethlehem.

During the years more and more different characters are joining in the parade. We meet both Mini Mouse, Swamp Bob and the Smurfs, and many others. And of course, – still the three Holy Kings. They became the Three Holy Kings after they had visited the child Jesus and brought him their gifts.

It’s a lots of people watching the parade and the different characters in the parade through sweets and candies to the people who watching the parade.

The sweets and candies are symbol for the gifts Kaspar, Batlhasar and Melchior had to the child Jesus.

And the Three Holy Kings comes with gifts to the children in Spain too 😊. And the children in Spain send or give their wishing- list to one of the Kings.

Student 2017

It’s also baked a special cake for this evening,- and the cake is called “el Ricón de Reyes”. The cake is created as a ring, and its cover with sweet fruits for symbolism as diamonds, jewels and gems. The cake is a symbol for the kings crone. Inside the cake there will be a plastic figure of one of the three kings. The one who get this figure is going to be “the king” the whole day 👑.

There is also a bean hidden inside the cake, and the one who receives the bean is the one to buy the cake for next year’s celebration of the three Holy Kings’ petition 🥯.

The three Holy Kings are coming to the different home and houses with gifts to the childre (and probably the adults too 😊 ) during the evening and night to the 6. January.

But the children need to put their shoes outside the door so the kings can see where they are living. Then the kings put the gifts in the shoes- if the children had been a good kid the last year. If not,- the kid get carbon as a “gift” and as an reminder to be nice for this upcoming year 😳 💚.

The carbon today is actually candy 😊.

And since the kings have been on a long travel they put out water and hay to the camel and some food to the kings. 🐫 👑.

And,- now at days the children in Spain get a bit bigger presents and gifts than before,- so the parents and adults “recommend” the kings to put most of the gifts under the Christmas- tree 🎄, and just “the reminder” of being nice or not nice in the shoes outside the door,- like a small gift or the carbon 😊.

Most of this traditions can be done this year as well, even there’s some restrictions to follow. The parade will not be like it has been for over 100 years. But the family traditions is still possible to do, like the food, the cake, the presents and the shoes outside the door 🥿. And its just a maximum of people around the table at 10 people this year. Not more, but many Spanish families in general have a bit more people around the family table under their different Holydays celebration and traditions.

I like that, that there’s still some cultural traditions that is not to much touched by the different restrictions we have in our society during the days 💛.

I wish you a great day or evening wherever in the world you are 🧡 Thank you so much for using your time and dropping by my blog today 🧡

See you soon 😊.

Carbon created by sugar = candy carbon 🍭🍬

The parade for The Three Holy Kings this evening will not be as it has been in the Spanish culture and traditions for over 100 year 🐫. But I hope The Three Holy Kings will visit all and everyone, special the children, during the evening and night to 6. January 🌟. And I hope the three Holy Kings brings hope, love and believes, joy, happiness and peace to all ❤🙏.

Different traditions are changing ⏳🌍

Hi ❣ It’s so nice to see you,- like always 😊 I hope all is fine with you 🧡

Different traditions are changing in our society and cultures. Something that’s actually normal, but not during just one year?

In general there’s always some small changes because we are so many different people living together from different countries, cultures and with different traditions. An slowly we do “adopt” traditions from each other. But during the last year the different changes in our culture traditions have changed very fast, and not because of “adoption” from other people, cultures and traditions. But because of different restrictions.

Even society traditions like hugging and kissing on the cheek is not “allowed” or “reccomend”. Not even a polite handshake are recommended anymore.

In one way there’s not many cultures and society traditions left at the moment. That’s a bit sad.

At the same time we still have some “few” left like sessions and Holyday decorations and different food traditions during the different seasons and holydays. And we can keep up some traditions in our private homes too. But there’s still many traditions, special traditions that in it’s own way “connected” the people together and created a kind of affiliation between the people in the different cultures and countries. This are in a way a bit “gone”. For a while or forever?

The different traditions is a part of the culture, and when different traditions “disappear” also a part of the culture “disappear” too. As well as the feeling of “belong” to a society.

Already last Spring the Easter traditions in Spain changed from big parades to web- religious service. Weddings- celebration are changing, and funerals are changing too. Baptism and confirmation celebrations are changing as well. Parties and celebrations of different kinds are allowed, but with different restrictions.

The big celebration of San Juan, the 23. June, in Spain, last summer did change, and the celebration of the Constitution Day, 17 May, in Norway did change as well. Like I mention, the big Easter traditions and celebration in Spain changed last year, and what about the Three Holy Kings celebration? There will not be any parade this year where the three Holy Kings are given out sweets, or funny figures with a lots of candy to the people who watching the parade.

Most of us also needed to change the Christmas- celebration and traditions as well as the New Year celebration last year.

The different changes is based on different restrictions we need to follow during this coronavirus- time. And we are changing too. The people, the humanity are changing because of the traditions and cultures are changing. Because of the restrictions we need to follow.

Traditions and cultures are a part of the society, and that part is not very much left off during this days, weeks and months we have been living with the different restrictions and the coronavirus in our society. Will our different traditions be the same after this coronavirus- situation? Will the different cultures be the same? And will the people, the humanity and society be the same?

I don’t know. I don’t have the answers, unfortunately, I have just the questions at the moment. And I will probably not have the answers either.

But I think it’s sad tha so many culture traditions and social traditions are changing so fast. It does “something” eith both the society, the people, the traditions, the culture and the feeling of affiliation to “something”. “Something” that’s in its own way are not there at the moment, or at least not in the way we are use too.

Like I mention,- it’s natural that traditions and cultures are changing, it’s actually a part of the history, but not so fast as now, and in general not because of different restrictions either.

At the same time,- people have been living together during wars and under other pandemi, and manage to keep up many traditions in their cultures and their society. So maybe it’s a tiny bit of hope that we will see the Three Holy Kings parade again one day? Or be able to give each other a “allowed” hug, or walk in the Norwegian Constitution parade? Or maybe celebrate the San Juan at the beach again or shake the hand to someone in a polite manner?

I hope so. I hope this is just “a break” and “a timeout” before we can continue our different traditions in the different cultures and our society.

I wish you a great day or evening wherever in the world you are 🧡. Thank you so much for using your time and dropping by my blog today 🧡.

See you soon 😚

A Christmas star decoration in the centre where I live- the Christmas- decorations haven’t changed (yet…..) 🌹

Traditions in different countries and cultures are changing, and the changes has happen just under a year ⏳. The changes does something with the people, the society and the feeling of affiliation. Hopefully this changes is just a “timeout”, and we will be able to walk in the Norwegian Constitution parade or watching the big Easter Parade in Spain very soon 🌹.
